5 Ways To Make Up With Your Ex And Work Your Relationship Out
Well, you and your girl had a tremendous head-to-head and now she wants to end the relationship. Now, you want to make amends and continue the relationship. If she was the one who decided to throw in the towel, you might have a bit of a problem. Following you'll find some steps you should take to make her a part of your life again.
Make Up With Ex Technique #1: Right off the bat, you need to agree that the separation is a good idea. Side with her, tell her that she's right and that you should split for awhile. Strange as this may sound, because ultimately you do want her, it is the first thing you need to do. She'll be somewhat surprised. That's good. Also, it will give her a clue that fighting isn't good and that you'd both benefit from some time apart.
Make Up With Ex Technique #2: Your next step is to make some distance between the two of you. The rule should be no calling and no emailing and no anything. She'll have an opportunity to see how things are without you, start missing you. And it will give both of you some time to yourselves to think about each other and your future. Of course, this will be tough on you, as well. But hold yourself back. This will give you some allowance to take the important next step.
Make Up With Ex Technique #3: You may not want to hear it, but to get your ex back you have to make yourself a better you. You don't have to get a facelift or entirely change, just make some improvements you've probably been thinking about anyway. You could go shopping for a wardrobe update. Join a gym. Get a different haircut. Look for a new position or promotion at work. You might ask your colleagues at work, or your friends and family, if there's something about you that they would like to see changed. Self-improvement will make your girlfriend understand that you are capable of change and understand that it's good for her, too.
Make Up With Ex Technique #4: At this point, it's crucial for you to improve your friendship with her, become friends once again. Don't go overboard. Plan to meet her for coffee. Make some sandwiches and ask her to meet you in the park. Your ex will probably be pleased to see you and look with interest at your new look or your new attitude. Be attentive. Listen to her. Let her guide the conversation. And, it's always a good idea to talk about some of the fun times you shared. As she becomes interested in you because of how you've changed, she should also start to feel some of the niceness you brought to her before.
Make Up With Ex Technique #5: After you've both begun to regard each other as friends, it's time to ask her out again. Insinuate that you want your relationship to continue, but that it needs some time to grow. By letting her know this, you allow her some breathing room and this will make her more amenable to patching things up, slowly. Sometimes much good comes from a little bad, your next time together may become so much better than before.
