A Young Woman’s Excessive and Abusive Drinking Leads To a DWI, Mental Health Issues, Depression, Time Behind Bars, and Relationship, Sexuality, and Dating Difficulties
Jesse had an exceptionally hard time maintaining a job. In truth, due to her slothfulness and lack of motivation, she was out of work far more often than she was employed with a job. And when she did get employment, she had an exceedingly hard time getting to work when her shift began, she usually got less than positive performance evaluations, and she called off sick so many times that she usually got fired just a few weeks after she began working. To no one’s disbelief, one of the consequences of Jesse’s shameful employment track record was the fact that she was without much money almost on a daily basis.
In spite of Jesse’s less than stellar work record and financial lack of attention, however, somehow she managed to drink in an excessive and hazardous manner almost everyday. Not surprisingly, her excessive and irresponsible drinking also resulted in relationship, dating, and sexuality problems.
Because of her abusive drinking, it came as no big jolt when Jesse got a fourth DWI. When she went before the court, the magistrate explained to Jesse that her alcohol-related actions was awful and, consequently, he was going to sentence Jesse to spend six months behind bars.
Time In The City Jail To Reflect On The Demoralizing Results of Abusive Drinking
During her time in jail, Jesse was expected to learn more about alcohol facts, about the injurious results of hazardous and abusive drinking, and she was expected to get alcohol therapy. The magistrate emphasized the fact that unless Jesse gets professional alcohol treatment and learns how to live an alcohol-free life, she will probably be spending quite a bit of her time in the county jail.
Jesse articulated that she comprehended what the magistrate was asserting but she still claimed that incarceration was not the most realistic response. The magistrate saw things differently and claimed that it was his responsibility to keep individuals off the streets who drive under the influence and who get one or more DWIs. To authenticate this assertion, the magistrate articulated some honored, highly researched alcohol statistics that stressed some of the negative results that are correlated with irresponsible and excessive drinking.
Even though Jesse comprehended that she drank heavily, she never believed that she was alcohol dependent. So it was a real shocker when Jesse started suffering from symptoms of withdrawal about five hours after getting locked up in the county jail.
To monitor her alcohol withdrawals in a safe and sound manner, Jesse was transferred to a drug and alcohol treatment center for alcohol detox and then returned to the city jail. While locked up in the county jail Jesse undertook a mental health assessment for her depression and was given alcohol therapy but because she received this rehab as something that was imposed upon her, she failed to take ownership of her irresponsible and hazardous drinking.
When her time behind bars was over, the magistrate without faltering announced to Jesse that she would be under stringent scrutiny and would be required to take random breathalyzer alcohol tests.
Jessie’s Excessive Drinking Stops Her From Living in an Effective and Productive Manner
After hearing how Jesse failed to take ownership of her drinking problem and how she unenthusiastically followed the rehabilitation procedures while in the municipal jail, the magistrate knew that it was essentially a matter of time before he would be seeing Jesse once again in court about her excessive drinking behavior. As the magistrate reflected on Jesse’s situation, he couldn’t help but think about how some individuals never use their intellect and learn how to live in an adult and responsible manner.
