Finding Unusual Wedding Gifts
If you ever get invited to a wedding you will probably have to buy the happy couple a gift. Although I seem to be invited to a lot of weddings I often let this happen to me and never learn. When you leave it to the last minute it adds to the pressure and in the end you don't know what to buy.
People these days are living with each other before they marry. There are many reasons for buying unusual wedding gifts it is something that people do to avoid buying things that the couple already have. Another reason why people buy unusual wedding gifts is to try and out do each other. They treat it as a competition.
A few months ago I was invited to a wedding. I didn't really know the couple as they were friends of my girlfriend. People would stuggle to buy them gifts as they have lived with each other for years so they asked people to help out with their honeymoon. They chose to do something a little different rather than just asking for money.
They didn't just want the guests to give a flat amount towards the honeymoon they wanted it to be something more personal. They went through all the things they wanted to do on holiday such as meals, rock climbing etc. After that they calculated the cost of each.
You would see each of the various activities that they wanted to do. Depending on your budget you can decide what you wanted to contribute. You could buy them breakfast or even a bikini. They would then take a picture of them at the breakfast so you could see them enjoying it.
It is obvious from the above that the wedding couple can assist the guests in buying unusual wedding gifts and the sole responsibility isn't down to the guest.
