How A Marin County Lawyer Got Her Revenge
Once upon a time there was a Marin County lawyer named Jenny Craig. Jenny was lucky enough to find her first job at the offices of a successful Sausalito law firm. Life was expensive in Sausalito, but it was worth it to her. As the struggling newcomer to the firm, she was willing to stick it out and work her way through the ranks.
After a few years, when Jenny had not yet climbed the ladder in her firm or gotten a raise, it started to get to her. She knew she was a good lawyer. In fact, she was a great lawyer. So why wasn't she getting a promotion. Suze, the well endowed girl who came after her, was already a partner.
Finally, Jenny saw the light. The reason why Suze got a promotion and she didn't was because her boss was having an affair with the well endowed newcomer. It was blatantly sexist and she had good cause to sue. It was either that or just leave and start her own practice.
She decided just to go. Jenny was a smart young woman and knew that she had to make some changes in her life if she wanted to succeed. She went on a weight loss program, for starters. Pretty soon, she was looking so good, her old boss asked her if she wanted to come back. She just laughed and walked away.
Next, Jenny changed her name. She wanted a name that would draw attention to her for the right reasons, so she changed it to Marin Mirin. With a catchy name like that, she quickly started attracting clients. Many of them were clients who had formerly been with her old employer.
And it only got better! About six months later, Suze approached her. She had gained some weight and as a result, the boss had dumped her and found another lover. Marin offered her a job and some advice about diets that work.
Suze and Marin became great friends and great co-workers. Both of them were ambitious and worked hard. They also both had a burning desire to get back at their old boss. Since they were both in great shape, they were the hottest looking lawyers in town and they both took full advantage of it. Before long, their old boss's latest fling jumped ship and came to work for them. It was like Charlie's Angels!
Now, the name of the firm is 'Marin and Partners.' They are the largest law firm in Marin, while their old boss is known as an 'ambulance chaser.' They have achieved success and gotten their revenge as well. Life is sweet sometimes!
