My Chance At Romance In The Hairdresser's
I've never been known as a ladies man. In school I had a few dates, but I wasn't really all that active on the scene and pretty much just spent my time studying. After college, I concentrated mainly on my career. Now that I'm successful, I thought it was probably time I took a chance to find a relationship with a woman I care about.
There's a girl at the hair salon that I've always been really hot over. Everytime I see her my pulse just races. I go to hair salons instead of barber shops because in my opinion they just do a better job. The place downtown I like is totally fashionable, all decorated modern right down to contemporary bar stools in the waiting room. It just looks so cool.
I needed a haircut anyway, but I decided it was time to make a move. I walked in and she's struggling with an electric rice cooker to get it going. She was going to have some lunch. I offered to help her and discovered the problem was with the building wiring and the cooker was okay. She thanked me and we had a chat where we introduced ourselves. She talked to me through her lunch hour, then asked me if I wanted a haircut. We talked more, she gave me her number, and we made a date!
I got pretty nervous when I was getting ready to meet her. I got the house totally clean, just in case she ended up coming home with me. I got everything spotless and everything looked great, including the dining are with the kitchen bar stools.
So I picked Trixie up at 9 at her apartment on the East side of town. It wasn't a bad place, actually, considering her income. We quickly left and went to Lou's Jazz Lounge downtown for some cocktails. It was amazing. I've never felt such a connection with any woman my life the way I do with her. She's gorgeous, incredibly smart, and had me cracking up the hole time.
We ended up going back to my house, but I knew we had something special going on and decided to be a good boy and be as respectful as possible. We talked all night long until dawn sitting on the sofa, and I drove her home after breakfast.
This was our first date, and we've been together ever since, happily in love. I'll never be alone again, and I'll always look good with a great haircut!
