Ways To Play Together As A Couple
Couples of any compilation should find ways to play together. The trouble is, people find different ways to have fun. What one person finds of interest, the other may have no clue about. Now may be the time to open minds to new ideas.
Many people see men as men and women as women. With the advent of modern liberal beliefs and principles, it becomes more and more clear that what amuses a man might also amuse a woman, and vice versa. Erotic comics, for example, hold a special appeal to many women for the quality of graphic art that can be found in them. And when it comes to typical womanly arts like shopping and trips to the spa, men can also learn to appreciate these and do them alongside their significant other.
Gardening and yardwork are one way a couple can find something to do together. Some might think that men will want to cut the grass and trim hedges, but many men enjoy planting flowers too. Women are also quite capable of picking up shears or pushing a lawnmower. Either way, working outside around the house is something a couple can do together while doing something apart.
Surprisingly, sports can be a couple activity as well. Many husbands and wives state that their spouse is their best friend. So it makes sense that they would enjoy challenging each other in various sport activities. Women enjoy challenging workouts as much as men enjoy yoga and stretching. Looking at a men's sport watch, one sees little difference between 'his' or 'hers', which makes a valid point about how both genders enjoy sports.
Another recreational activity that a couple might share in could be crafts. Many crafts require power tools like a router or a jigsaw. Women enjoy using these as much as men do. And not surprisingly, many men have a keen eye for art and symmetry and enjoy things like beading and sewing.
Rather than forcing each other into hobbies and crafts and other activities, it is okay to subtly leave signs and hints around the house. Gym shoes and a duffle bag make it clear that someone has an interest in sports, while scrapbooking tools, scissors and coloured paper say someone else is into scrapbooking and other crafts. These little hints offer no pressure and help a couple get to know each other.
Doing things together gives a couple a sense of unity and co-operative play. Of course each member of a couple has their own sense of identify and individuality. However, it's nice to find ways to share ourselves with our significant other. Hobbies and crafts are a good way to do that, as are sports activities.
