What to do if a wife is Cheating on husband
Family is about fidelity in lots of way, and men and women have different reasons for breaking their vows and commitment. Men usually cheat when lured by sex, while a woman will cheat on her husband because of emotional neglect or lack of intimacy. In our modern society, the number of cheating women is increasing, because of the higher financial independence and the possibility to travel around without their husbands. Thus, gender no longer matters for statistics on infidelity.
A woman cheating on husband will keep everything a secret if she doesn't want to leave her husband. Women usually get emotionally involved in affairs, which affects the family life on the long run. We should not pass judgments against a woman cheating on husband if we don't know the context or the circumstances. Moralizing does not help, that's for sure.
This may sound like a pleading in favor of adultery but it is not. We may be able to improve our lives and even put infidelity behind us if we simply focus on what there is best in a relationship and avoid going into ethical debates. Yes, it seems wrong to cheat, to mislead and lie, and from a certain perspective it is. But the ups and downs of a relationships could lead someone into an affair. Nobody cheats without a certain reason, whether it is more or less justified.
Cheating on husband cases have higher chances of ending up with a divorce or a permanent separation than cheating on wife situations. This usually happens because men are less inclined to get over infidelity problems. Forgiveness and generosity are usually expected from women who have the reputation of trying to keep the family together. When religious, cultural and economic issues are also involved, things tend to become a lot more complex.
Loss of trust, legal separation, repudiation and the loss of children custody are among the ugliest consequences of adultery and divorce. The psychological distress and the consequences of adultery are considered to be higher for cheating women than for men. If the couple decides to give it one more try, it will take time before the spouses can build trust again.
