The decision to separate can seem drastic to some people. Granted, there are most likely some severe issues in a relationship when the only decision left to be made is to move apart for a while. A separation can lead to a complete awakening by one spouse or the other. Waking up in the morning without their partner might cause them to open their eyes and their heart and reconsider their thoughts about the marriage.
